Deep Dive Week

It’s deep dive week!  Woo Hoo!  What a great way to spend my birthday week.

What is a deep dive?  This is when I get together with two other people (this time, my daughter and best friend), and we transform something in our lives – all week long.  Fun activities are interspersed as we give our bodies and the energy time to process and integrate.

We do a two or three week-long deep dives each year.  The other months, a deep dive will only be a day long.  This helps us focus on creating the transformation we desire AND we have fun while doing it.

To do your own deep dive, here are a few hints to help you have a successful week.

  1. Opening ceremony.  We sit quietly and one of us leads the opening ceremony by asking for help from the Divine Universe as we open the space to create change in our realities and do a guided meditation to set the stage for something even better.  We often use a candle to help us calm our energies and increase our focus.

  2. Intentions.  We come prepared with a few intentions that each of us would like to dive into and create.  We comment on each other’s intentions and help to clarify what we are truly asking for.  In short, we are choosing what we would like to focus on.

  3. Dive. One by one we start talking about what we would like to create and what is blocking it from becoming a reality.  The conversation usually ends up with if you didn’t have the blockage, what visual or feeling would you have as your intention becomes a reality.

  4. Common denominator.  As weird as it sounds, there is usually a common denominator or something similar between all the intentions. It’s usually the same “issue.” Once we identify that, we leave the intentions and focus on clearing that.

  5. Repeat.  Throughout the rest of the week, we continually tweeze out different aspects of the intentions, common denominator, and anything else that comes up.  As we dive deeper and deeper, more and more is revealed.  Think of it as going from a wide focus, to a pinpoint focus, and then back and forth as you discover more and more about what is underneath your intentions.

  6. Questions.  As we work through the intentions, we ask questions and look for things that we can clear so that by the end, we are fully on board with the intentions becoming reality.  The best questions are usually open-ended, such as, “What would it take to create _______________?”  “Where are you in alignment with your intention?”

  7. Rest.  As the deep dive goes on, we get tired, so we rest as we are led to do by listening to what our bodies and minds lead us to.  (Today, we all realized that we were “spinning” in circles and chose to take naps.)

  8. Fun.  Creativity comes from fun.  And when you are having fun, you will see things in a new way.  This will help you create something new and improve what you are intending to create.  It’s important to have fun each day.  It doesn’t matter if it’s dancing in the kitchen or swimming in the ocean.  Have fun!!!

  9. Closing ceremony.  This is when we give thanks for everything that the Universe has helped us with and for everything to come.

Do this with people you can share with, be open with, be vulnerable with, and who you can really create with. Pick your teammates for the best outcome. (Do not choose people who are judgmental and critical of you.)

Who is your cheerleader?

Who is that person who will say the hard things in a kind way?

Who do you want to grow with?

What do you want to transform?

Who will bring the most ease to the process?

In the end, you get to pick every aspect of the experience.  You have the power to create the life you desire.  The choice is yours.

Send me your outcomes and let me know about your experience.
