Birthdays are the best time of year. Celebrations. Laughter. Friends. And lots of love.
Besides the celebrations and such, it’s a great time to review what worked and what didn’t in the past year. It’s also a great time to set intentions for the coming year. Last year, I asked my friends for some intentions they would like to see for me. And looking back, I’ve accomplished most of them, including a few of my own.
Great relationship with my husband. Check. Thank goodness.
My new book is a success. Check. At least that is the review I’ve gotten from the people I’ve let read it.
Self-confidence. Check. It’s funny to put this one after the last seeing as I haven’t gotten the book out into the world yet…although I’ve been rewriting it and have recently finished it.
I’m working with a group who truly values my contributions. Check. I’ve got a new direction for my work and who I’m helping. More on this later this summer.
Explore or do something new that will help me see something in a new light. Check. My husband and I traveled to Israel this year on a tour about ancient wisdom. I certainly have new insights.
And about twelve other intentions, all of which were accomplished in one form or another. Although, not always as I thought they would be. And as an added bonus, I lost a lot of weight and dropped two sizes. I guess feeling good about myself has additional benefits.
All that being said, my birthday is tomorrow. I’m very excited. And I have a special wish for you. Will you give me your intention for my next year? Please write your intentions in the comments section below. Thank you for the intention…and please have a piece of cake for me. Feel free to post a picture of you having the cake.
